The Labor Day weekend left the Student Government Association (SGA) without a meeting the second week of school, but that doesn't mean plans aren't in the works.

Plans involve raising membership, better organization, the holiday lighting ceremony, additions to the game room, and also Rachel's Challenge, according to Jamie Lutz, president of SGA.

Rachel's Challenge is held on October 26 by the First-Year Experience, Lutz added.
Lutz also said the organization hopes it helps with student involvement and creates more organizations on campus.

"We're excited to start the year," Lutz added. If anyone wants to join SGA,  packets have been made available at the student center's first floor information desk, and in the SGA office. The first meeting will be Sept. 13 at 5 p.m. in the first floor seminar room of the Pogue Center.
