Work continues on the $30 million Cooper Hall renovation taking shape on campus. Once the new addition opens, the original structure will be closed for further renovations.

The long-anticipated expansion is expected to "transform Cooper Hall into the region's premier, state-of-the-art academic science facility" and be "one of the most sophisticated and technologically advanced in the state," explains President Jeremy Brown.

According to Edinboro's provost, Phillip E. Ginnetti, the original building of Cooper Hall will close after the opening of the new hall for renovations.

Cooper Hall will retain its name honoring Joseph A. Cooper, the third principal of the Northwestern State Normal School at Edinboro.
