In "The Losers," a film directed by by Sylvain White, a group of soldiers get screwed over by a evil CIA agent named Max during a mission and are assumed dead. The team consists of Clay, a Robert Downey Jr. look-alike played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jensen (Chris Evans, the "FLAME ON!" guy from the Fantastic Four movies,) Roque (Idris Elba,) Pooch (Columbus Short,) and Cougar (Oscar Jaenada.) Zoe Saldana, previously in "Star Trek" and "Avatar," plays the stunning Aisha, who recruits the guys to help her kill Max.
Have you noticed that there have been a lot of movies that come out in pairs? Just like the famous pairings of "Armageddon" and "Deep Impact" or "A Bug's Life" and "Antz" or even "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" and "Observe and Report," the same can be said about "The Losers" and "The A-Team." Watching this movie right after seeing the trailer for "The A-Team" just made me think about the upcoming movie instead of the one I was currently watching. Even though I'm not 100 percent sure on this, I have a feeling that "The Losers" is like "A-Team-lite."
Not to say that this movie was terrible, but it wasn't extremely thrilling either. Some parts of it were enjoyable, but there were definitely a handful of parts with awkward or contrived dialogue. Many of their jokes fell flat. On the positive side, you see Zoe Saldana's bra an awful lot. Even when she's wearing a shirt, it's always falling off her shoulder. A lot of the movie was creatively shot, and some of the action scenes had some awesome blah, blah, blah. If you don't really care what you watch, go ahead and see this. Otherwise, I'd recommend saving your money for "The A-Team."
