A college student killed in a head-on crash in Washington Township last week had been cited for alcohol and traffic-related violations just two days earlier.

Domenico Crea, 18, died along with two other Edinboro University of Pennsylvania students in a two-car accident on Draketown Road on Wednesday.

He was cited by campus police for careless driving, for drinking and driving, and for underage drinking in citations filed with District Judge Denise Stuck-Lewis on Nov. 9.

Crea was seen and admitted to driving about 40 mph through the university's McComb parking lot just after 3 a.m. on Nov. 8, according to a careless driving citation filed with Stuck-Lewis.

Separate citations stemming from the incident charged Crea with underage drinking and with driving "with alcohol in his system."

Crea had not yet responded to the charges before the district judge, university Police Chief Thomas Nelson said.

"He might have been found guilty, or not guilty," Nelson said.

If found guilty, Crea would have lost his driver's license for 90 days, Nelson said.

Crea earlier was charged with disorderly conduct after a Sept. 4 traffic stop on campus. He handed over two bongs and a pipe in connection with that incident, police said.

Last week's fatal crash occurred when Crea tried to pass another car and collided with an oncoming car driven by Edinboro student Sheldon Harmon, 21, police said.

Crea, Harmon and a passenger in Crea's car, John Eyrolles, 18, were killed in the crash.

Crea, of Erie, and Eyrolles, of Pittsburgh, were Edinboro University freshmen.

Harmon, of Bolivar, N.Y., was a senior arts and animation major at Edinboro.

Separate funeral services were held Monday for the three young men.

A memorial wall for Crea and Eyrolles was erected in their dorm in the university's Highlands complex. Friends can leave notes and remembrances.

The wall is an outlet for students and staff to express their loss, said Kim Kennedy, director of residence life and housing at Edinboro.

Written tributes and tokens will be presented to the students' families.

"We want to be able to give these things to their families so that they will know how important these young men were and what an impact they made on Edinboro University," university spokesman Jeff Pinski said.

The state police investigation of the accident is ongoing, Erie County District Attorney Jack Daneri said Monday.

Police are working to reconstruct the accident and to determine if a third car seen by an eyewitness was involved.

A witness told police that Crea's car and another were traveling southbound at high speed shortly before the accident.

A witness also told police that Crea and the driver of another car had paused and talked before driving off at
