Davaun Stedge and Melanie Prelec paced the efforts of the Edinboro men's and women's track & field teams on April 18 as the Fighting Scots competed in the University of Buffalo Invitational. Both captured first place in the javelin.
Stedge won the javelin throw with a distance of 62.33 meters, good enough to meet the NCAA provisional qualifying distance. Prelec's throw of 39.91 meters was just short of the NCAA provisional qualifying distance but was still good for a personal best and first place. Tarra Frantz took second place with a throw of 38.20.
